The scandal surrounding the dismissal of the Minister of Transportation of the province of Buenos Aires, Jorge D'Onofrio, continues to escalate. As the investigation progresses, the political impact of this scandal could be devastating for the provincial government. The network of beneficiaries of the company Solutec SA includes officials in key positions within the state, covering everything from the Ministry of Transportation to Security, ARBA, Justice, and Human Rights.
Millions in transfers have been revealed involving numerous high-ranking officials, public employees, and figures with political connections, especially related to the administration of Axel Kicillof. Among the highlighted transfers are those directed to Gabriel Pretti, director of Information Technology at the Ministry of Transportation, who received 17,380,000 pesos.
At the center of this scandal is Mariano Rueda, a key figure in this network, who received 7,100,000 pesos. Rueda owns a 2021 Jeep Compass valued at 35 thousand dollars in his name. However, it has been discovered that the blue card for this vehicle is registered in the name of Tomás Uthurriague, a close friend of Rueda and head of IT at the Ministry of Transportation, where he earns 1.5 million pesos.
These corrupt practices have called into question D'Onofrio's management and Kicillof's ability to ensure transparency in state tenders and contracts. The findings suggest the existence of a well-organized structure that channels public resources to specific sectors of the state and political apparatus, with an impact that deeply affects trust in government institutions.
